The main objective of this theme is to spatialise the risk of transmission of vector-borne diseases: malaria and arboviroses transmitted by mosquitoes of the genus Aedes, at a frequency to be determined according to needs and constraints relating to data acquisition and production.
The ultimate aim is to contribute to:
. prevention and control measures, and thus help to eliminate malaria in the region: the 2015-2018 plan to combat malaria in French Guiana, the plan to eliminate malaria in Brazil by 2030, the Sustainable Development Goal (3.3) to eliminate malaria by 2030;
. the development and use of useful tools for monitoring and preventing the emergence of arboviroses in the Guianas (modelling, information systems).
