Public policies & Forest

The aim of this theme is to produce spatial data (thematic maps) that can be used to qualify and quantify the various impacts of human action on the forest, targeted according to a particular issue: effectiveness of a protection policy, introduction of subsidies, grants to help families or to encourage 'no deforestation', logging, etc.

Based on the implementation of ad hoc methods, it is proposed to define, at the scale of the management areas (Protected Area, municipality, State, catchment area, etc.), spatial indicators that can be used to estimate the impact in time and space of human action on the forest.
