This theme proposes to carry out an assessment of the water resources of the Guiana Shield and to analyse the factors influencing the sensitivity of these resources in the Suriname-Guiana cross-border region.
. To compile in the project's information system all the data obtained by the various studies mentioned above on the Guiana Shield, to supplement the data obtained from space observation for the whole of the Guiana Shield, and to compile the socio-economic data for the Suriname-Guiana cross-border region;
. Analysing spatio-temporal changes in water resources in the cross-border area and producing indicators and maps;
. Analysing the impact of changes on communities in the cross-border region;
. Strengthen student training in the characterisation of natural resources.
