The aim of the ADEUSA (Analyse des Dynamiques des Espaces Urbanisés par Satellite : Application aux Guyanes) project is to develop tools for studying the dynamics of urban areas by processing satellite data. Two levels of granularity are taken into account: (i) to monitor changes in urban areas in the various capitals of the Guiana Shield; (ii) to map the main urban habitats (dense or discontinuous) with a focus on precarious housing (Cayenne Island, Saint-Georges-de-l'Oyapock, Oiapoque, Macapá).
